19th International Golden Roof Challenge Innsbruck – the legend`s alive!

Once again the Int. Golden Roof Challenge as the 21st tour stop of the Golden Fly Series delivered a brilliant firework display of top athletics in Innsbruck city center. The mobile sports facility "The FlySwat", certified by the World Athletics, rose like an "aircraft carrier" from Innsbruck's magnificent mile - the Maria-Theresien-Straße - and offered the assembled "Air Force" of top athletics the perfect stage for a dream event with top results!

In front of thousands of enthusiastic spectators, the Paralympic world record holder Markus REHM/GER shocked the competition in the first attempt and sailed as a special guest and "Blade Jumper" in the long jump to the winning distance of 8.50 m . He relegated the 2019 World Champion Tajay GAYLE/JAM to second place with 8.05 m, followed by Isaac GRIMES/USA with 7.79 m.

The women's long jump also produced high quality; here Agate DE SOUSA/STP with 6.70 m just secured victory ahead of Vice World Champion Ese BRUME/NGR with 6.67 m and Quanesha BURKS/USA with 6.63 m.

The women's pole vault was decided on the basis of the failed attempt rule, as the top three finishers all jump the same height of 4.11 m. Victory went to Giulia VALETTI BORGNINI/ITA ahead of Yana HLADIYCHUK/UKR and Sonia MALAVISI/ITA.

Concentrated US power was at the start of the men's pole vault: Clayton FRITSCH won with 5.71 m ahead of Matt LUDWIG 5.61 m and Luke WINDER 5.61 m.
