Golden Fly Series Innsbruck 2026

An epic evening of athletics with a world record in Innsbruck!

The 22nd International Golden Roof Challenge, serving as the home base for the Golden Fly Series, added another chapter to its success story on Saturday in Innsbruck city centre in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans.

The sensation of the evening was provided by Paralympic long jumper Fleur JONG/NED, who was invited as a special guest to this exceptional athletics event and managed to improve her own world record – set last year, also in Innsbruck – to 6.88 m!

The regular competition was won by African champion Nemata NIKIEMA/BFA, who improved her own personal best to 6.75 m. Helena BÖRNER/GER finished second with 6.45 m and Letitia ORO MELO/BRA third with 6.36 m.

The first 16-year-old local star, Deborah ACHLEITNER/AUT, equalled her own Austrian U18 record with 5.94 m, thereby qualifying for the U18 European Championships.

The men’s long jump also featured an outstanding line-up, with Bozhidar SARABOYUKOV/BUL equalling the meeting record from 2010 with 8.18 m. Behind him were Luka HERDEN/GER with 7.70 m and Lionel COETZEE/NAM with 7.67 m.

In the men’s pole vault, top US jumper Olen Tray OATES claimed an undisputed victory with 5.72 m. Second place was shared by Asian champion Husain AL HIZAM/KSA and Oleksandr ONUFRIEV/UKR with 5.42 m.

Juliana CAMPOS/BRA won the women’s pole vault with 4.40 m, ahead of Apolena SVABIKOVA/CZE, who also cleared 4.40 m, setting a new personal best.
